How to Remove Toilet Stains Easily

Keeping your toilet clean is essential for a healthy and aesthetically pleasing bathroom. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, we find that our toilets are stained with hard water or other dirt and debris. Fortunately, the stains don’t have to be permanent. There are some simple steps you can take to remove those pesky toilet stains quickly and easily. Let’s take a look at how to do it.

My favorite tool? GENTLE buffing with a pumice stone / magic eraser (too hard can damage)
CLR works great, but be sure to wear gloves!

1) Scrub It Away – The first step in removing any stain from your toilet is to scrub it away using an abrasive cleaner such as Comet or Ajax. For tough stains, use a stiff-bristled brush and work in circles around the entire bowl until the stain is gone. If necessary, you can also use a pumice stone or sandpaper to help loosen stubborn stains. Be sure to wear gloves when doing this! CLR seems to really help, but WEAR GLOVES and read it’s instructions, only let it set for about 2 minutes at a time.

2) Use Vinegar – Vinegar is one of the most effective natural cleaners out there! Fill up a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray it liberally over the area of the toilet that’s stained. Leave it for about fifteen minutes before scrubbing away with a brush or cloth. The acidity of the vinegar will help lift away stubborn dirt and grime without damaging the porcelain enamel of your toilet bowl.

3) Use Baking Soda – Baking soda is another natural cleaner that can help remove tough stains from your toilet bowl. Sprinkle baking soda around the inside of your toilet bowl, then add a few drops of liquid dish soap and some warm water. Scrub with a brush and rinse with warm water for sparkling results!

Removing toilet stains doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming! With these simple steps, you can make sure that your bathroom stays sparkling clean in no time at all. Whether you choose to use an abrasive cleaner like Comet or Ajax, vinegar, baking soda, or any combination of all three, you can be sure that those pesky stains will be gone in no time! So go ahead and get cleaning—your bathroom will thank you for it later!
