Gleaming Gives Initiative

Cleaning Homes.
Clearing Clutter.
Creating Good.

At Gleaming Cleaning, giving back is built into how we work. Through the Gleaming Gives Initiative, we donate
time, dollars, and useful items to support local causes across the Raleigh area.

From clothing and furniture donations to employee-supported service and community giving, we help turn clean homes and decluttered spaces into practical support for people who can use it.

Why it matters

From your home to someone else’s fresh start.

Many families want to donate, but the process can feel overwhelming. Bags sit by the door. Closets stay full. Furniture gets put off for later. Gleaming Gives helps make giving easier.

Why a cleaning company?

Because cleaning often happens at turning points.

People call us when they are moving, downsizing, organizing, recovering, preparing, or trying to get life back under control.

Those are the exact moments when useful items can be rescued from waste and redirected toward a person, program, or local cause that can use them.

Growing the impact

Cleaner homes. Stronger community.

Our long-term goal is to build a reliable community impact system inside the business: donation collection, employee volunteer opportunities,
resale-supported giving, and free or discounted cleanings for neighbors facing hardship.

Paid Volunteer Time

We want employees to serve local causes without having to choose between giving back and earning income.

Health & Healing Cleanings

We aim to provide free or discounted cleanings for neighbors facing cancer, illness, recovery, grief, or crisis.

Employee-Chosen Causes

Our team helps identify organizations, families, and community needs that matter to them.

Common questions

Simple, careful, and community-first.

These details help keep the initiative clear for clients, community contacts, and grant viewers.

Can I donate items during a cleaning?

Yes, when arranged in advance and when the items are safe, usable, and reasonable for our team to transport.

What types of items are best?

Gently used clothing, children’s clothing, professional clothing, furniture, household goods, linens, and practical home items are often the best fit.

What happens if an item cannot be donated?

With client permission, select items may be redirected, responsibly resold, recycled, or declined if they are not appropriate for donation or transport.

Are donations tax deductible through Gleaming Cleaning?

Gleaming Cleaning is not a nonprofit and does not provide tax receipts. If you need a donation receipt, we recommend donating directly to a qualifying organization.
